Her debut novel, The Taste of Nightshade, draws from her lived experience as a survivor of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, using fantasy to explore trauma, identity, survival, and the courage it takes to name the truth and step beyond it.

By day, Amanda works full-time as a software developer. Beyond the screen, she is also a part-time karaoke DJ and event planner, a devoted reader, a lifelong lover of beautifully unsettling cinema, and someone who finds strength and stillness through meditation and movement. She lives in Augusta, Georgia, with her husband and their very full house of fur babies, where she continues building the life she once believed might never be hers.
